Leeds United Football Club
Leeds United Football Club is one of England’s most legendary and passionately supported football institutions, based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Known as "The Whites," the team plays its home matches at Elland Road, a historic cauldron with a capacity of over 37,000 that has been their fortress since the club was formed.
Founded in 1919 following the disbanding of Leeds City FC, the club established its golden era in the 1960s and 1970s under legendary manager Don Revie. Dressed in iconic all-white kits inspired by Real Madrid, "Revie’s Leeds" dominated English football, winning multiple league titles, FA Cups, League Cups, and reaching the 1975 European Cup Final.
Leeds United reached further modern heights in 1992 by winning the final Football League First Division championship before the Premier League era. The club also embarked on a thrilling run to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in 2001. After enduring a dramatic 16-year absence from the top flight due to severe financial turmoil, Leeds made an emotional return to the Premier League under iconic manager Marcelo Bielsa in 2020.
Leeds United shares intense, historic rivalries with Manchester United—a fierce battle known as the Pennines Derby or Wars of the Roses—along with heated Yorkshire clashes against Chelsea, Millwall, and Sheffield United.
