NK Veres Rivne is a historic, unique, and fan-owned Ukrainian football club based in Rivne, Western Ukraine. Universally known as "Chervono-Chorni" (The Red-and-Blacks) or "Volvtsi" (The Wolves), the team competes in the Ukrainian Premier League and plays its home matches at the renovated Avangard Stadium in Rivne.
Founded in 1957 as Kolhospnyk before adopting the name Veres (meaning "Heather") in 1991, the club traditionally plays in red and black kits. Veres became a prominent fixture in early independent Ukrainian football, reaching the semi-finals of the Ukrainian Cup in 1994 and competing in the top flight throughout the mid-1990s.
After bankruptcy, Veres underwent a legendary rebirth in 2015 as a public, community-owned membership club. The club achieved an extraordinary rise through three divisions in consecutive seasons, winning the Ukrainian First League title in 2021 to establish itself back in the Ukrainian Premier League as one of the country's most groundbreaking fan-driven projects.
Veres maintains intense Western Ukrainian regional rivalries, most notably the fierce Volhynian Derby against Volyn Lutsk, alongside regional battles with Polissya Zhytomyr and Karpaty Lviv.
